The Ball

Well, the weekend is coming to an end. It has been a lot of fun but also very busy. The Black and White Ball was Saturday night at Pierre’s. I wasn’t crowned queen but I sure had fun! Those of you who know me, know that I am sundress, flipflop, no makeup and beach hair kind of girl, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love a good excuse to get all dressed up!

Yes, the ball is called the Black and White Ball but that doesn’t mean you can’t wear color! =)

The girls at Blu Bamboo did an AMAZING job doing my hair and makeup. Since my dress (from Anthropologie) had a little vintage feel I thought I would stick with the theme. I came in with a vague description of what I wanted and they worked their magic. I could not have looked so glamourous without their expertise! And it sure was a lot of fun getting ready for the ball with the other beautiful women that were there.

I picked up the jewels for my hair at an adorable little Consignment Shop in Key Largo called Pink Junktique. Thanks to my wonderful Aunt Maryanne I was decked out with beautiful pearls.

Thank you to EVERYONE who volunteered, donated or just put up with my insanity over the last few months. I had such a great time raising money for such a great organization as the Florida Keys Children’s Shelter. I am sorry I didn’t win, but I sure had a lot of fun trying.
